INTERNATIONAL INFORMATION

PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS

Crossing the border from Detroit, Michigan to Windsor, Ontario (or vice-versa!) is easier than you might think! You can drive over the Ambassador Bridge or through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel with a birth certificate and driver's license or other government issued photo I.D..

The Ambassador Bridge is the world’s longest international suspension bridge and will provide you with a scenic aerial view of the city. It exits approximately 2.4 kilometres west of downtown Windsor.

The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel is the only international subaquaeous car tunnel in the world. Its maximum roadway depth is 75 feet beneath the river surface and it exits in the heart of Windsor’s downtown core.

Right now, the only reason you would need a passport is if you're flying to Canada. And, with the ease of using the Windsor airport, and its gateway access to major highways, rail and air connections, it's a great option to consider!

For more information about crossing the Windsor-Detroit border, please visit www.crossingmadeeasy.com/ or for Border Wait Times, please visit
