WELCOME TO THE 14th ANNUAL CANADIAN GAMING SUMMIT

April 26 - 28, 2010
BMO Centre - Calgary, Alberta

Gerry McLennan, CEO, AGLC

On behalf of the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, I'm very pleased to welcome you to Calgary, Alberta (famous for its Calgary Stampede and panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains) and to the 2010 Canadian Gaming Summit. Albertans are known for their warm hospitality and the Summit is known for bringing together a wealth of knowledge and gaming expertise, so what better place for the gaming sectors from across Canada to meet.

Current times are exciting and challenging for the gaming industry. We're now seeing great strides being made in technology to enhance our players gaming experience while ensuring gaming products are delivered in a responsible manner. At the same time, the ongoing economic recovery still presents its share of financial hurdles. As well, competiion continues to challenge our industry's ability to sustain the gaming revenues that support so many worthwhile endeavours across the country.

This year's Summit once again brings our vendor community to the trade show floor and opportunities for gaming industry employees to learn and network through the education programs and social activities. It is our privilege to be given the opportunity to be the host province for this year's event and we truly hope you take the time out of your busy schedules to join us. Every year the Canadian Gaming Summit offers great value to our dynamic industry and I look forward to welcoming you all to Alberta in April.

Where the Canadian Gaming Industry Meets

The Canadian Gaming Summit is the only conference and trade show in Canada that serves the entire Canadian Gaming Industry. This year's summit will be taking place in the BMO Centre located on the Calgary Stampede grounds; home to the infamous Calgary Stampede. This annual event delivers face-to-face interaction with senior decision makers directly involved in the procurement and purchasing of gaming-related products and services. Summit attendees are from all gaming sectors, disciplines and regions within Canada and beyond - including Senior and Operational Executives from Provincial Lottery, Gaming and Regulatory Agencies, First Nations Gaming, Casinos and Race Tracks and Charitable Gaming including Bingo. Responsibilities of attendees include Slot and Table Games, Procurement, Operations, Entertainment, Marketing, Security, HR, Finance and Investment, Legal and Regulatory, F&B and more.

In addition to the latest products and services that will be displayed on the Summit’s exhibition floor, this year’s event will continue to provide a top-notch information and education experience – including specific “Conferences within the Conference” that include First Nations Gaming, the Canadian Association of Security Directors Annual Meeting and Charitable Gaming. This year's conference sessions cover a wide array of gaming-related topics that we are sure you will enjoy and find extremely informative.
