Join the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association as it hosts the 12th annual Charitable Gaming Conference. Like last year's event, it will be held in conjunction with the Canadian Gaming Summit. This event focuses exclusively on the charitable gaming across Canada. This is the only event in Canada that allows all industry participants – regulators, operators, and charities - to come together and discuss what is happening across the charitable gaming industry in Canada.

Real Time Customer Analytics

Charitable Gaming Industry Development Funds – the Ontario Experience

The charitable gaming landscape in Ontario includes two industry development funds – the Ontario Bingo Development Fund and the Break Open Ticket Development Fund. These development tools are industry-lead and funded and have provided a vehicle for the charitable gaming industry to work together, build capacity, strengthen relationships with regulators, test new ideas, conduct research, etc. In this session, you will learn more about the Funds – how they work, what they do, and the benefits and lessons-learned. The session will include an overview presentation and a three-person panel from Ontario including a charity representative, an official from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and a representative from the commercial sector.

In Alberta, Personal Play Devices have been piloted. Alberta can now share the results of the personal play games test in Calgary. Attend this session to find out more about the pilot, the games tested, and the results.

Break Open Tickets in Ontario – New Developments and Possibilities

The focus of this session is on new developments and possibilities in Break Open Tickets in Ontario. Attendees will learn more about recent rules changes to allow merchandise prizes and couponing, as well as significant administrative streamlining. Information will also be provided about recently completed research projects looking at: the attitudes of existing BOT convenience store retailers and retailers that aren’t selling BOTs now, including in-field testing of different types of retailer incentives; and consumer attitudes towards $1 BOTs and whether there are opportunities to grow this segment of the market.

eGaming – What is happening in Ontario? Part I

In Ontario, Ontario Lottery and Gaming recently announced that the planning process for eGaming options is moving ahead. With the support of the Chair, Mr. Paul Godfrey, the Acting CEO, Mr. Tom Marinelli, has put together a team focused on the charitable gaming sector. Learn about the process that is being undertaken, the charity and operator involvement in the process, the options under discussion, and products under consideration.
