2021 Webinar Series: Investing in Success with the CGA Academy

Presented by: Charles Harper, GM & Head of North America, iGaming Academy

Moderated by: Paul Burns, President & CEO, Canadian Gaming Association.

As part of its commitment to expand services to the Canadian gaming industry, the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) has partnered with the iGaming Academy to launch a full online training solution, including up-to-date compliance and skills training courses and a robust Learning Management System (LMS), all specialized for the gaming industry. This webinar will examine the role of training in the success of gaming organizations in Canada, including regulatory required training and necessary job skills training as Canada looks to expand iGaming and legalize single event sports betting.

We will discuss the expanding risk operators face with regulatory fines for non-compliance and how eLearning can ensure compliance and easy and accurate reporting related to audits. This will include AML as the CGA Academy is addressing the new regulations coming into effect on June 30th with a new training course and assessment already available. Now is a great time to talk about investing in training. Operators and suppliers can use training to bring new employees up to speed faster and uptrain existing employees as casinos start to re-open.

We will also look at trends in other part of the industry (iGaming and sports betting come to mind) and ask your feedback on which areas of training most need to be addressed moving forward as the CGA Academy will continue to develop more national and province-specific training.
