CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
The 24th edition of the annual Canadian Gaming Summit will take place from June 15–17, 2020 in Canada’s largest city Toronto, Ontario at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC). The Summit is the only conference and trade show in Canada that serves the entire Canadian gaming industry. This annual event is built on its extensive educational program, developed by industry educational program committees representing all facets of the industry. This year’s theme is “Transforming the Customer Experience”.
For 2020 and based on Summit delegate feedback, we are implementing new education session format that will enable a more streamlined and relevant set of presentations. As well, we have creatively set up two education theatres on the Summit trade show floor that will be used for delivering the education sessions.
If you are interested in speaking as a panelist or organizing a panel for the 2020 Summit, we encourage you to complete the Call for Presentation form (below), keeping the following parameters in mind:
We please ask that your session topic ties into the theme of “Transforming the Customer Experience”.
You can organize and submit an entire session (one moderator with two or three panelists), or you can submit a concurrent session topic suitable for a single panelist or a team of two panelists. The application of the “Customer” theme can be as broad as possible. Examples of topics include: customer loyalty and reward programs; marketing to various demographic classes, casino design, attracting gamers via non-gaming amenities, new game technologies, and more. In other words, think of what today’s player wants and expects from a gaming perspective.
The Summit’s organizing committees will evaluate all submissions (group or individual) and place speakers and topics into concurrent session slots. Topics that have been presented in the past two years will not be considered without proof that new or relevant information is available.
The 2020 Summit concurrent sessions will be structured as follows:
Either one moderator and a maximum of three panelists, or a single panelist, or a team of two panelists. For moderated sessions, the moderator will facilitate the session and manage the coordination of participating panelists prior to the Summit.
Moderator introduction and session set up – 5 minutes
Session presenter one – brief introduction and presentation – 10 minutes
Session presenter two – brief introduction and presentation – 10 minutes
Session presenter three – brief introduction and presentation – 10 minutes
Q&A – 5 minutes
Each concurrent session will be 45 minutes in total length.
All sessions (moderated, single panel, double panel) will allow 5 minutes at the end for questions and answers.
All Call for Presentation submissions are due no later than February 14, 2020.
Once your submission has been approved you will be contacted by the education committee and introduced via email to your session moderator and session co-presenters.
Conference calls will be set up during the month of February 2020, and the moderator and panelists will make introductions, discuss their session topic, and determine who will address which session topic aspect and in which order. Additional panelists and/or new session ideas or angles can be discussed at that time.
A final session title, description, as well as bios and contact details for the moderator and panelists are due by March 6, 2020.
All session Power Point presentations are due by June 5, 2020.
