"Where the Canadian Gaming Industry Meets"

The Canadian Gaming Summit partnered with Totally Gaming Academy (TGA) with the aim of providing quality learning and development to Canada's gaming community through TGA’s courses during the 2019 Summit.

In such a rapidly evolving environment, regardless of how long you’ve been in the sector, refreshing your knowledge and keeping up to speed are key components of working life. Training is not an option or a luxury – it’s pivotal to the survival and development of your career

TGA’s world-renowned education programs were offered as part of the CGA Academy at the 2019 Canadian Gaming Summit. This opportunity provided a set of stimulating reminders of key principles and provoked some new thinking.

We would like to thank the two prominent industry experts who addressed a broad range of relevant topics during their 2019 CGA Academy sessions.

Slots – Past Present and Future

Totally Gaming Academy’s Slot Academy has provided a benchmarking training program around the world for many years, and has designed a special group of sessions for the CGA Academy that uses key components of the TGA benchmarking program.

Slot machines provide the greatest share of revenue today throughout the US and Canada. A basic understanding of this discipline is critical to people seeking to develop leadership skills through a better understanding of casino revenue generation. This course is ideal for those in finance/accounting, regulation/compliance, marketing, surveillance, facilities, F&B, security and even those new to slot operations.

For those of you who’ve been in the business for a long time, this is a chance to revisit the basics and possibly see what’s changed in the intervening years since your own ‘apprenticeship’. The CGA Academy will include some refreshers as well as provoke some thoughts about what’s next…
