Competitive Products

Room TBD

A session providing an overview of the competitive products that exist outside of those offered by Crown Corporations. Examples would include games such as social gaming, daily fantasy, sports and more. This session could also bring in an industry specialist to talk about social gaming platforms, acceptance/uptake, statistics and other areas of interest. Another topic to explore is the impact of free or low fee games and if players involved with these games are actually moving to casinos and games with a larger fee requirement.

The Technology Challenge

Room TBD

Some floors are out of date with respect to product and items such as service/support and upgrades may not be feasible. Speed to market for games may be ahead of purchasing and implementation - what can be done to counter this challenge? What are the best ways to manage obsolescence and life cycle depreciation? What are the best ways to condition players and communicate to them in order to manage their expectations if they can’t find games on a slot floor that they have seen elsewhere and they would like to play? Contract, Trade rules.

Session participants will leave the session armed with ideas to redesign their menus.
