Supplier Technology Session: The iGaming Academy (IGA) provides compliance, job skills and workplace training for land-based and online suppliers and operators in the gaming industry

Regulating Single-Event Sport Wagering in Canada

Bill C-218 which will legalize single-event sports wagering in Canada for the first time in history, is headed to the Senate. As provinces start to prepare, one big question is what will the regulations look like? Most provinces will adopt GLI Standard 33 however Canada has a handful of requirements that are specific to how wagering activities will be offered. Representatives from the CGA’s Regulatory Innovation Committee will discuss what to expect as provinces open up to this new form of betting.
