2019 Canadian Gaming Summit
In 2019, the Canadian Gaming Summit was held at the Edmonton Convention Centre. The focus for the Summit was to provide relevant educational content and high-profile speakers, with more time and flexibility for delegates to attend networking events and spend time meeting in the redesigned Summit Marketplace.
As our industry continues to evolve, the Canadian Gaming Summit strives to deliver multiple and creative ways for the industry to reach its target clients and prospects.
New for 2019
The theme for the 2019 Canadian Gaming Summit was “Driving Change”, and we incorporated a 360-degree view of the topics that were discussed to ensure that we considered all angles. The Summit welcomed different perspectives, ideas, and approaches as we tackled the big issues to ensure that our industry is positioned to embrace the changes it needs to succeed. Specialized Training & Discussion
The Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) launched a new programming opportunity in Edmonton: The CGA Academy was focused on learning, development and training through the introduction of new ideas, technology.
In 2019, the focus shifted to quality over quantity and more education sessions were in plenary form. The Summit had a dedicated room with theatre-style seating and choose specific speakers to present on this stage.
We combined our Summit exhibit floor and our reception space into a combined area called the Summit Marketplace, where all meals, coffee and dessert breaks, and various Summit receptions took place. It also featured ample room for delegates to sit and have conversations as well as the Innovation Stage, where pitches from start-ups took place throughout the Summit. This change created one larger, interactive space that provided exhibitors and delegates with more opportunities to network.
